First of all thanks for your answers. My next question for you is have you ever had this device in your hands? Why I am asking this question is that your answers doesn't seem to be helpful. This unit is not recognized by MapSource when I click "send to device" button since it doesn't have internal memory drive (at least not visible) and doesn't have memory card expansion slot. When "get unit ID" is executed I get regular number hich I have used to unlock maps with keygen which confirms that unit is connected in right way. Now if you could be more detailed please with your answers how to get things done as you can see I know how to use MapSource and I am not novice, rather than that - this is my first device of this kind. My map image size is 125mb and I am wondering if there is enough space availible on device if we get over the fact how to make it visiable to MapSource?
no i havent a eTrex but all units work with mapsource under your link you can also read # Mini-USB port for fast, convenient download of map data from Garmin?s entire library of optional MapSource CDs using a PC the internal memory is not visible - thats why you must use mapsource please read this tutorial [Please Register or Login to download file] i hope that will help you
How come is possible that when I launch "Web updater" it does find my device or when do "Get device ID" it does find my unit but when "Send to device" is selected - device is not listed? Options are only drive C, dive D and my card reader as removable media F, no matter if I click "Find device" gps unit doesn't shows on dropdown menu. I hope that now I got you to the piont of this thread, MapSource version I am using is 6.16.2, device drivers are downloaded form Garmin web site [Please Register or Login to download file] .
edit: Now I've found out that eTrex Vista® C have only 24MB of memory availible for maps which is not enough for today's standards and that leads us to dead end. Thanks for your efforts ozboss and all the best.
