i recently bought a international version of garmin 1350 loaded with City Navigator America 2010.30.

but i was wondering, is it possible for me to port the localized firmware from SG/MY into it?

or looks like i nid to change to 255w instead?

Yes this is possible. GPSPassion thread tells how. Take extreme care when flashing as you MUST retain original boot.bin file or you will probably brick your unit. Search and use GCDUPDATE tool to build new rgn or gcd file or flashing. The new file will need to contain original boot.bin + sgmy fw_all.bin+sgmy resources_all.bin (the sgmy bin files need modified HWID which is what the tool does for you). As with any firmware mod risk is all yours.

hmm, i checked out on the gpspassion forum. but still failed to success. probably there is no clear instruction or 100% success way yet.
