Hello. I got my hands on a Garmin 2559 which had a lifetime Western Europe map on it but I wanted to install Full Europe map. I've done several map updates on other Garmin devices and had no problem at all. I patched the gupdate.gcd file with imgpatcher, converted it to rgn using rgn tool and with Updater I loaded the patched firmware on the device. Before being patched it said that the new maps were corrupted and after I patched it the maps appeared in myMaps and everything seemed good until I wanted to type an adress and got a message "No map data is available". I tried other maps and the error message is the same every time. I also have used these maps on other devices and there weren't any problems. What do I need to do so I can fix this? Thanks in advance.

I do not have such device to check it but have in mind that the rgn tool does not work well on some of the latest firmwares so you have to patch it in a different way

Do you have any ideas how I can patch it without rgn tool? I am lost

The firmware in the folder doesn't boot and the firmware next to Updater says "Cannot unlock maps". I don't have gupdate.gcd to patch it also..

Well, thanks a lot. I extracted the firmware from the zip onto a microSD and after the update everything is fine.
