I used Garmin Express today to update my device ; it updated the map of EU which came installed on the device but did not offer to update the NA map installed via Navitotal
Does G E not recognise maps installed via Navitotal?

Garmin Express only update maps you have a subscription for ,the subscription is associated with your device ID.
Any other maps can be purchased from Garmin or you can try the maps here first to see if they are what you are looking for.
