Postby SWELLPOWER » Fri May 22, 2020 9:18 pm

Hi new to all this and was hoping to be pointed in the right direction
First off can the maps be run from a sd card on this model nuvi 2569 LMT-D
Next which set of files would be good for all of europe as i only have western europe on the nav at the moment.
Finally what is the folder and file structure like on the sd card.

Many thanks for any help

Many Thanks GarmanNuvi
Now i am pointed in the right direction, just checked my HWID is 1947 and if i am reading right c5 is that the end of it

Use this SD card patch kit for HWID 1947
software/universal-firmware-patcher-for-protected-garmin-devices-t17987-480.html?hilit=1947#p177056

Edit:Cheers for that loaded it onto the card and i think it worked i can see the maps, but when i try to use just the new map i get no map data when i go to search. The C5 was off the about device menu on the unit

It is possible you renamed the file gmapsupp.img.img because you didn't unhide extensions on your PC.Take a screenshot of the contents of the SD card with the Garmin & Map folders expanded & a screen capture of My Maps from the device

D6213110A.sid
D6214110A.sid
D6742090A.sid
D6743090A.sid
SQLite
D6161110A.db This should already be present on your device
D6216110A.db This should already be present on your device

SD card:\Map\
D6210110A.img

Many thanks again GarmanNuvi will have a try tonight .

Edit:That seems to have done it,but i did notice if i disable the map stored on the nav itself the rest of them stop working.
This is because they are all just regions of the same map

Thanks for your help GarmanNuvi i would have launched it otherwise. :023:
