I have a Garmin NUVI 265W,

1) Is there a map update for this model? and how to instructions?
2) and how big an SD card do I require?

AFAIK the current City Navigator maps should be working on your device without any restriction. Except no additional files can be used (JCV, 3D, SID...). The easiest way is, to download an unlocked image version, copy it on SD card (4 GB is enough) into a folder called Garmin. The map file must have the name gmapsupp.img (rename it, if the name is xxx.img, but beware the extension!).
