Can the Garmin Nuvi 295W be ripped off the device and be installed to WinMo devices?

Look at software section , you'll find there garmin xt mobile developed for WM devices, use it for installation on your WM device, and in MAPS section you can find garmin keygen 1.5 for unlocking garmin xt mobile, in maps section you have unlocked maps, after installation of garmin xt mobile, just copy-paste unlocked maps .img in garmin folder on your device or sd card if you device use sd card either internal hd like HTC Diamond..

I am already using Garmin Mobile XT but I thought Garmin Nuvi's maps are better due to the JVC, etc.

you have all maps here in MAPS section and another additions files for garmin mobile xt, maps are same for garmin nuvi and garmin mobile xt, etc. you can use same maps on both devices, that's .IMG file , aditions of which you're talking can be installed later... And for all that additions you need good device with much RAM memory, like for 3D , etc.
