Hi, I have a Garmin Nuvi 355.

I can't seem to understand what is the problem.

When i switched on the unit, it works fine till the main page when i select 'view Maps'. than it just hangs no matter how long i wait.

however, when i remove the SD card which contains the map, the unit works fine except since there is no maps, its blank and shows a qn mark?

Can someone please help me and advise me on this??

What map are you having an issue with on SD ?

How large is the gmapsupp.img (It may be to large for your 355 you could have a 2 gig map limit) This sounds like a lt could be the issue if you are using eithe large eurpean map or possibly a European unicoded map in the 355. You could try an experiment. Download a smaller map and see if it works on the SD.

Do you have any other maps installed in the 355 that and work when you remove the SD ?

if you updated your nuvi with WebUpdater you can to use sd up to 16 GB
