gps settings problem   

gps settings problem

let me re explain my problem the mio 168 navman pda has an inbuilt gps reciever which i cannot find the settings to the pda itself runs ok ive installed garmin xt on it and runs fine except it keeps saying gps is off the lad i got it of said it crashed or something and he downloaded a rom from the net he says it was for the mio 168 but im not sure is there a way i can download the files i need to enable me to use the internal gps or is garmin the problem and do i need to install some other satnav software hopefully someone one here will be able to help me im new to this but am willing to learn

cause you ask asme question there! I don't know what rom he, you, etc. used on that device, and i don't know is it ok or not ok rom, i can give you answers just for oficially roms, for customizing roms, i'll can't help you, for all problems that kind contact author of rom, cause maybe problem is with rom. Like i wrote on link above, you can read that you can try to setting your gps port and baudrate, but you have to know default values of these settings, and then to try to get gps signal, and for that device is better to use garmin xt for older device, cause that device is too old - 7 years!

Try with these values

gps port:COM 2, baud rate: 4800.
