A returning question about Garmin devices is how to remove or how to reset the PIN code.
Forum Policy is that NO HELP IS GIVEN to perform such action. NEVER ! No excuse from you will be accepted.
When you own a Garmin device the legal way (that is : you bought it first hand) you should know how to unlock the device. You have or should have the PIN code stored safely somewhere.
When you bought it "second hand" and the seller did not give you the PIN code, chances are the device is stolen. In fact at least 99% of the devices that would need this removal cure are stolen. In which case you better turn to that person who sold you his fine working unit.
For the law, the receiver of stolen goods is as bad as the thief and will never be the legal owner of that good - even if he paid good money!
Remember, we help our users whenever we can. However "educational help" is one thing, but helping to get stolen devices working again is something completely different! And worse: Some said "owners" come here for new software and maps (for free!!) and then sell them for their personal profit.
The navigation companies, such as Garmin, do actually sue sites - thus people - for illegally commercializing their products.
All this is not in the least compatible with the forum goals and activities.
