How to fix "Voice Command Not Available in *country*"

Thu Nov 30, 2017 5:15 am

Hello NaviTotal users,

Recently, I was trying to use the "Voice Activated Navigation" from my Garmin DriveLux 50 LMT (Australian purchased). For some reason, it kept giving me the error that the feature is not available for Australia in British English. I find this quite strange. I changed it to American English and it did not work. Restored the map twice and did not work.

I followed the [url=https://support.garmin.com/faqSearch/en-AU/faq/content/cFc1ueuoRf7ofHjYbWfu9A
]Garmin FAQ[/url] and installed the needed file, still it did not work.

Do people know how to fix this or came across this issue?

Yes. Thank you for your support. I re-installed the default and it did not fix the issue.

I've had similar problems with multiply ASR's and maps.

So you patched the firmware, when you finished did your clear the non vol ? if you did it would have asked you to choose a locale .did you choose Australia?
Are you trying to use the Voice command with City Navigator Australia & New Zealand 2018.30 your pre-installed maps? as Voice command won't work with any other countries maps than City Navigator Australia & New Zealand unless you install their ASR files.

AU/NZ ASR Files

As a general rule I would NOT share my devices ID as someone might clone your device
