Ideally go for the latest Unlocked City Navigator maps available.

(Links unchecked)

Download locked image and unlock with an unlocker app then copy the gmapprom.img to the device

I don't understand this. iGo's routing is quite a lot better than Garmin's in all the examples I have compared. (Note: I'm in the UK - it may be different in the US)

With only 64MB of ram on your Eonon, I suspect you can have a dem file or TTS but not both

Go to the thread, download all parts of the locked image from post #1, use one of the unlocking tools referenced to in the second link, copy file gmapprom.img to your Garmin installation.

This is why we recommended iGO, as there is no need to unlock or activate anything.

You are downloading the map, as there is only a locked version available you need to unlock it before it will work, there are instructions available.

Download map
Run unlock tool
Copy map to device

Are the maps automatically In that image file once It's unlocked? I think i unlocked it the right way i got no errors, It just ran a cmd command and that's it, so i copied and replaced the img file into the garmin folder. Now do i need to run some kind of keygen after this?

On Garmin the map is one file usually gmapprom.img or gmapsupp.img.

For this installation you will need to unlock the map AND use the keygen to generate the key for the programme.

Right, but that gmapprom.img is the same file I get when I extracted all the parts that you told me to download. So I unlocked it with the tool provided and then move to the sd card which says copy and replace. That is what I did....

I guess not because I had to do this first before running Garmin .exe on the device correct?
