Hello all,

I have received from my mother in law her old Garmin nüvi 350.
The Garmin is outdated and has very old maps installed.

Is there a HowTo or an tutorial on how I can unlock the device and how to update the Maps and POIs.
If needed also newer firmware.

I have looked on the NaviTotal forum but I cannot find anything specific for the Nüvi 350

Hi SlowFox1 why you ask to unlock it should be already unlock and working even with old maps!
1.As much it concerns firmware you may download the latest one with Garmin Express.
2this device is old one and if i remember well support map files up to 2GB so tell me which areas are you interested for to create a map for you. (Or you can do it even alone).

Sorry for the very long delay. I have been busy with a lot of stuff. Thank you for answering to my post.
I'm not 100% sure if the Garmin 359 EU is locked or not. It is in it's original state. I know it is old but it still works. I like to have a small backup when travelling.

For this moment I'm very interested to update the maps for the areas: The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France. The most travelled parts.

But if you are willing me to tell me how I could make maps of my own, that would be more than helpfull.

@slowfox1 Hi! In order to make your own maps first you install a map on the PC at Mapsource then you follow the instructions of my post here
