I've downloaded the map Topo France v2 (Mapsource) which I found here http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?1351-Garmin-Topo-France-v2-(Mapsource)&highlight=topo. I installed the map... till there everything went fine.

Now, when I open Mapsource it says the map is locked. The three options to choose are: unlock online, copyright and message. The last two are unusefull. With the option unlock online, a serial number and productcode is needed.

Could someone please help me. We are leaving on a holiday next week and it would be nice if the map would work on my Dakota 20.

I already have been looking at this application before ... But I can't use it because there are no image files, neither in the install directory, neither in the unzipped rar files.

Mapsource says the location of the maps is: c:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps\Topo France v2.gmap\Product1\
At this location there are 216 subdirectories which look like i.e. 28916636. If you then open this directory again, I get 6 files with the extensions: *.dem *.lbl *.net *.nod *.rgn *.tne
This is the same in all 216 directories.


Any suggestion what to do?

Manza Try to use this unlocker, after extracting archive, inside you'll find file ALL.BAT, execute that .bat file, and see what message will show you garmin unlocked, post it here?

I've done what you say. After running the all.bat file I get a pop-up which says:

Unlocking all installed mapsource products.
Unlocking mapset Topomap Benelux ... not locked
Press any key to exit.

Strange thing here (for me) is that the map of France is not mentioned, all though it is installed and shown in mapsource ?!?

Any ideas?
