Hi,

As the title states, I've had a TomTom One V2 for over 4 years going back to GPS underground days and recently acquired a Nuvi 1250.

I know the ins and outs of loading Navcores, upgrading bootloaders, activating maps etc etc.

Since I am new to the Garmin world, I am wondering how that works and if there are specfic tutorial threads I should follow to better understand how Garmins works.

Like can, you change the Navcores, Bootloaders and such. From my initial reading seems the only thing you can do is change maps...
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
