I've downloaded the unlocked version of europe 2011a which links to "http://www.relink.us/view.php?id=2d9fed404e7659d3542ae24bea0264" for the rar files and expanded these into a folder showing an gmapsupp.img file of 1,940,384KB, read me.txt and a jpeg of europe.

A friend of mine tried a copy of this img file on his NUV250, copy all his files first from the device for safety onto his PC. Deleted the existing img file, then loadied the new file direct onto the device. The device when started says"No Map Found". He also tried loading the img file onto a SD card, but still with the same answer. He also tried changing the name of the new img file to the same as the existing img on the device. But still when starting the device still same "No Map Found".

He has a SD card with a map of Italy and he tried using the same img file name with the europe img file, still no joy.

Any clues why the device cannot see the map.

Write link of thread where you downloaded maps ? Another thing, you can't copy 1.84 GB .img file on internal memory of that device if his capacity is 500-700 mb, what's size of internal memory of that device?

Rename image file name to GMAPPROM.IMG, and then try to copy to your SD CARD with capacity bigger then 1.84 GB. IMG works ok.
