Can anyone tell me if there is a limit to the no. of voices a Nuvi 255w can store.
I have 6 in the Voices file but only 3 show up on my unit. These 3 are ones I downloaded from Garmin website. I cannot even see the originals that came with the unit. There were umpteen when I got it, but I deleted the non English ones.
English British and English American I left on the unit.

I can see the vpm files in voices folder but not on unit. There is tons of memory space available so that is not an issue.

Any clues?

Forget previous post. Found the little divils on me unit.

The only one I can´t see is Homer Simpson, downloaded from some kind soul in this forum.

Is this something to do with tts, non-tts ? If so, how do I get Homer to work ?

AFAIK, Home Simpson is a non-TTS voice that also needs to be unlocked first. You can't just copy the voice to the internal.
