Sorry I'm just as clueless as you as to why there's not a current.gpx file yet the device is still showing the favourites. However although GPX files aren't my strong suit I do think that even a "current.gpx" file opened in BC will only show 'Active Logs' but not things like your 'Home' address setting and recent saved locations. Maybe the device is reading from the latest *.gpx in the Archive folder. Just a guess ....
