A question about French Maps ?

A friend of mine is travelling to france and would like to know if it is possible to use a single map to navigate from the north of france to the sounth of france? he will be driving.

I don't see why not. You download a map of France not north France and another one for south France.
If it ain't broke don't fix it!

This is what I did previously but apparently even though the map was there he could not navigate to addresses only poi's? and apparently could only navigate around a 60 mile radius?? I am not ofay with garmin maps I know they are very detailed and complicated. The maps I downloaded were the North and South maps from the map menu on this site. He is off again soon and I said I would ask for him to see if I could get a better map.
