hollo

Is there a way to activate a file (IMG) on a device (Garmin) so that it does not work on a second device?

I want to activate a file (IMG) on a device (GARMIN) as is the case with (Garmin Mobile XT).

Is this possible?

Thank you

If you buy a map officially frm Garmin, it would be unlocked only for one device. If you download a free or unlocked map from here or elsewhere, it would be free for everybody and every device.

Thank you

But

What should I understand from your answer? There is no way to do it or you're against it?

Hello again

I found a program that can do it, its name (cGPSmapper).

The problem is that the program does not have a graphical interface. Difficult it is for me to work with command line.

Someone already used this program?

Help me please.

Thank you

Both! And it makes no sense to do it, because everybody could unlock the file again.
I don't think that cgpsmapper can lock unlocked map images.

Well, I respect your opinion.
Thank you

Are there any prominent members of a different opinion?
