Has anyone got a working version and if so what navcore /unit you are using?

There is no "navcore" in Garmin units. This term is used by TomTom.

Why don't you tell us, which unit do you use and what did you try out (e.g. pathes, image names)?
Without further informations nobody can help you.

On your first picture I can see that the map is shown in your device. It seems to be installed properly. What is your problem?
In "extras" you have no data, because you have no user POI installed. This is no issue and has nothing to do with any map.

I have a nuvi 215 fully updated firmware
The map has been installed properly and is functioning as a normal map as far as i can see
The problem is how /where do i access the.....

•126 848 points of interest (2% up from 13.05)
•Most complete and detailed protected areas (national parks, game reserves etc) in Africa – 1451 parks in total.
•9 603 accommodation listings (6% up from 13.05)
•3 476 camp sites, the most complete camping data base in Africa (4% up from 13.05)
•5 317 places to eat or drink (6% up from 13.05)

These are normal map POI and you find them in the various Where to... POI categories as well as City Navigator POI.
