Truck Sat Navs

Postby stone1048 » Thu Dec 12, 2024 9:05 pm

Hi
Not sure whether this is relevant on this site , but here goes!
My son in law is looking for a Truck Sat Nav and I noticed there are some Garmin ones (Garmin Dezi 560 LMT) .
I say Garmin as I've had one and downloaded maps etc off here and familiar with the software etc.
Have a few questions?
Can the above sat nav be firmware patched as other Garmin devices?
Are Truck maps the same as the NTU or NT maps??
If not have you any idea where they can be obtained from ??

Thanks

Do you know if truck maps are the same as the GArmins maps on here?

dezl 560LMT does Not require Patching to use Unlocked maps. It is compatible with both NT & NTU maps. U is for Unicode Characters. City Navigator maps weather NT or NTU are used on all Automotive devices the "Truck" specific functions are loaded to all dezl,OTR LGV [Please Register or Login to download file] .
The dezl 560 is coming up to 10 Years old .
If I was buying a used dezl I would make sure it has Lifetime map updates LM for the country I needed it in and comes with the proper Garmin Power cable and Mount as if they are missing they can add up to more than just the unit.
