Hi Guys,

I have a patched 6.16.2 MapSource and City Navigator North America 2010.40 and 2011.10 3d mapsets installed. I was able to unlock both mapsets by using "unlock regions". However, When I try to transfer maps to my device, the map can not be recognized. Is there anything I missed here? Please help!

How did you generate the key to unlock the maps.
Any random Unit Id will work for mapsource but it must be the Unit ID from your GPS to work on your unit. (NB Unit ID not serial number).

Option 2 - has your unit got updated firmware that requires the new GMA files?

I unlocked the mapsets with device ID of a nokia smartphone (The map transferring didn't work at that time so I simply downloaded an unlocked map, figuring it must have something to do with the phone instead of a GPS unit), then I added the unlock code for my current GPS unit by clicking the "add" button. Should I remove the original one?

Could you please also explain a little how the GMA files thing works? Thanks.

you can add all you deviceid generated code in mapsource then you can send it all your devices

eg, genarate nuvi and nokia unlockcode and add both in regions, then same map work both devices
