I am planning a sailing trip from Canada to Australia.
I have in the past loaded BlueChart Americas 9.5 and Blue Chart Pacfic onto my garmin 76cx to use in the cockpit and also a laptop insibde running opencpn.

My 76cx has died - corrosion on the sd card contacts means it can't read maps.

Does any one know if there is a garmin handheld I can buy new today which will can these old blue charts?

I see a lot of information on this forum about newer unlock methods than I am familiar with and I am strugggling to make sense of it.

Well, Gmaptool is simplest, but if card is original go to store, buy new 78-series and ask if they can put the card from old unit to work in your new device ...
I do not have expirience how it works elswhere but, in Estonia, u have to buy new card .
