so quick update.. I have been using the device today and I love it !!!!
for the conversion to macintosh I used crossover pro
to install the original topo map and convert to gmap for mac
the jetmouse keygen works nice in crossover also :D
the discovery map looks like someone has scanned the ordinance survey maps at best... or traced them with a felt tip pen...
I can't see how they can charge so much money for these maps... although as i said before I am sure they will be good for cross country trecking and mountain walks but absolutly useless for urban or city use !!!
I am so pleased i went to the trouble to convert the topo map...
now i can use the full power of the basecamp software to customize my map/POI/ add birseye imagary and loads of other cool features i didn't discover yet.... also I can plan my weekend walks just how I want :D
once the discovery map is installed on the device... it is also available in basecamp when connected via usb...
although I did not have time to see if i can add any POI or other extra features/content to this map yet...
I currently have a 4GB microSDHC class 4 expansion and it is working OK
I have just ordered a 16GB class 10 microSDHC from fleabay for £20
so I will have plenty of room for all the extras i plan to add on these maps...
