WinCE 6 missing explorer.exe?

Help i have wince 6 but i can't run Garmin because explorer is missing, How i can fix this

"\windows\explorer.exe" file is not exist

any help would be appreciated

Put a # in front of the line in the .mscr file and try again, not every device needs it...

just to make sure, the # location, do i have add a # to first line of .mscr file? or before explorer path?

your way does not work, because Garmin need explorer.exe

where i can get explorer.exe from? and why my WinCE 6 doesn't have explorer.exe?

is there another way to fix the problem?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

The device does not have explorer.exe because the manufacturer deemed it unnecessary

A ROM flash, or you maybe able to borrow it from miopocket.

Don't install miopocket, it'll make things worse, just look through the files, it pretty much has all the files from wince within it, it's very handy for dll's and reference etc

I have downloaded MioPocket 4.0 Release 68, not installed it yet.

But i don't know which files you talking about! if you mean explorer.exe i can't find it in WinCE 6 folder, i just found it in CE4/CE5 folder, Here's a pic please take a look.

Stick it on the device and run it manually, then try Garmin, you may need to edit the script to update the location.

Only Wince 6 only files will be in the wince 6 folder, (like toolhelp.dll) most files are shared across all versions

You mean copy the explorer.exe from WinCE5 to my Storage Card, and edit the Garmin.mscr to be

Try it, see what happens, it might just throw up an error though

Just try it and nothing happened.

No Error msg at all, just explorer won't start, i use ITaskMgr.exe to see if explorer is there but nothing.

i start it from Garmin.exe

Run("\Storage Card\App\explorer.exe"), won't start.

And i start explorer.exe from CECMD.EXE, also won't start.

I've move explorer.exe to win dir, also won't start.

I thought as much, more than likely all the supporting files and registry entries are also missing, did you try any other versions of Garmin?

I have tried many different version but nothing, i use this one because was start on my old wince6 unit

now on new unit gives this error
