I downloaded a 800x480 data.zip for igo8 and there are gasstation.bmp files but no matching .spr files in it, so either i'll try making the .spr files or deleting the .bmp files and post them here so you can try

cool so that is what was failing all the time?, also the re is a branding.spr missing cos i get that error too (i don't know how man more errors there is) by the way, i have used every possible POI, from the 2008 one when IGO8 came out, to the latest TA Q2 2010, navteq q4 2009 also had been tried. And if anyone asks, the units is actually quite good (hardware) i don't remember of the top of my head on the processor but the memory is 128. I have used the TTS setting, working fine (for one voice only, the other voice doesn't work for some reason, but that is a minor glitch). If that works i imagine it is the same problem that is happening with the primo i have (yes it displays the same error)

Did you try deleting your "save" folder?

Ok i've looked into this a bit more and the problem could also be in the branding.zip, so re-download that as well and replace it.
Make a copy of your save folder somewhere safe and delete it like chas suggested to clear any settings. Copy it back if the problem remains.

In branding.zip there is no reference to gasstation, however petrol station is in there???

I agree. Normally this kind of error would be linked to either the POI file or to branding.zip. That is correct.

BUT

But how do we explain it happened in Primo too? Same fault in a completely different branding zip?
And Armagedor is the only one (I know of) having this fault.

as i said the primo i downloaded was not from the files from here, so i have no idea what is in it. I only did the basics to re-size it to my screen the data and branding files on it, came with the download (and i checked and they are 800*480) so i don't know, cos my whole problem is that my back up of the original program got damaged and i had to make my own. if this doesn't work, I'm gonna start from scratch and see if anything gets fixed with that. i will only have NY maps and POI and avoid the TTS and redo a sys file from the original 2din build to see if that works.

When i ran IGO8 it sometimes crashed when inputting UK postcodes, Primo 1.1 works fine with the same maps.

I have found and issue with the primo i have. Analizing the crash file and it has to do with the stupid games it has (for which i can care less i will not drive and play XD) i will try taht one too, fortunetly i have 3 cards for this task and 1 that is very large taht can hold al if i realy wnated. let me see how that goes. However i sitll ahve this on my crash file

which is exactly the same (differente name) that the igo8 does

it immediately crashes, the only time it worked was wile it was looking (or analyzing) maps and POI. well i will go and check this build and see what happens. by the way the primo was taken from a Romanian GPS site (no i don't speak it but I'm very resourceful) so i had to change it, cos it was suposed to be a stand alone low memory usage for Romanian devices (or in Romania use).

sorry i got busy doing other stuff. I tried the naked build with only NY map POI, same problem as all my other tries. The files are taken directly from the rar file, so if the zips inside where to be corrupt the winrar would tell me. I will try this download of primo as soon as I'm able to get it, my internet is unreliable right now

Did you delete the save folder like I suggested earlier?

on my original build yes, and it still had the same problem
