2DIN on iGO8.3.2 90500 POI crash

Postby chas521 » Fri Dec 10, 2010 10:44 pm

Are you willing to try an experiment? This is MY NY iGO 8.3 from my device. It has your resolution. Back up yours first. http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?1837-Working-iGO-8.3-from-my-device

EDIT: Just put in the map for NY and the POI link from NY - nothing else right now.

Leaving right now i just made a NY NJ version of primo hope it works but i have to go have some stuff to do, will do when i get back in 2-3h.
I prefer igo8 cos it is faster to load, much faster it takes less than 10 seconds, primo takes a bit more.

Me too! I do not like Primo in NY. Sorry if I stepped on some toes there. I like Amigo first and iGO 8.3 second.

I'm back, and the bare minimum primo that I made worked fine, only glitch it has is that there is no arrow now, this is because i was playing with the settings and trying to change the arrow i found there is a fatal error there, no error message primo freezes for like 4 seconds and quits. i think that is because there is no car cursors on it to select from. i will make a new copy and ad the vehicles and see if that works. if i don't see any other option there i will just leave it with the arrow, not a big deal, the POI worked fine and everything else worked fine. The only annoyance i have is that i couldn't find how to stop primo from interfering with the audio every time i touched the screen. At least i have a working copy now. I still would like to be able to fix the IGO8. I'm gonna try ur 8 version

I want to resurrect this thread mainly b/c I'm seeing the same error message when trying to access poi's on my 2din unit. I also have 800x480 resolution. Has there been any other progress or ideas?

Chas521, I'm hoping your links are still good to your working version, I'm getting ready to head out the door to work, and I will download it there and try it out on my way back home later tonight.

I solved the problem by not using igo8, all the versions i found gave me the same problems. I'm using Igo Primo now and it works fine to 90% it still gives me some errors for certain skins but that is a minimal problem compared to the constant crash due to POI

Well with my unit iGO Primo causes my music playing on the unit to cut in/out whenever I press a button and not just for navigation voices. It is quite annoying, I've tried muting key presses but that did nothing.

I have the same problem and I hate it but I hate crashes even more :p. I think it is a better trade off. Another thug that I c is that primo takes longer to load like 3 times longer but it works fine otherwise so I don't personally mind

All should be working as far as I know. Please let me know if you find a dead link.
