addons.txt abd systems.txt

I have recently put igo 8/primo on my sd card on a MyGuide 3218 system. When I start the system I now have the option for GPS, but when I click it I get the error message that the path is wrong. Can anyone tell me the correct path for an sd card and where exactly I should put it - does it go in the MyGuide folder or the sd card, or maybe even both. I have tried copying things back and forward between the two but with no success. I know I'm going in the right direction as I never had the GPS option before. Thanks in advance for any help.

This varies greatly by device, but your SD Card may be called SDMMC, so the correct path for you might be something like:
\SDMMC\IGO8\igo8.exe
This would be assuming a folder name of IGO8 on the SD Card, and the exe within that folder named igo8.exe. Change the folder name and exe file to what they actually are on your card.
In some cases, when defining the Nav Path for a menu system, you have to use double slashes such as this:
\\SDMMC\\IGO8\\igo8.exe

I think it's GPS = "", "\\Storage Card\\Primo\\Primo.exe"

Modify the Blue items to match your setup

[modules]
GPS = "icons/files.bmp", "", 0

[GPS]

\\Flash Disk\\myguide\\myguide.exe"
\\Storage Card\\iGO\\iGO.exe"

This is what I have in addons.txt in the root folder of the sd card. I renamed both the folder and executable to iGO, but it still says I have the wrong path or the files could not be found.

I think that is not correct. Try what I said and see if it makes any difference.
Change only Storage Card to SDMMC.

If it seems to then find the navigation program, but you get some other error, post the contents of sys.txt in your iGO folder.

Another step in the right direction - the GPS icon now has iGO primo written on it but gives the error message
"User interface resolution [320x240] is not supported or compatible skin can not be found.
Exiting application."
Does this mean I need an older version of iGO?

You've managed to get iGO to start now, Now to configure it to your device.

Did you get iGO from this site, If so post a link to the post...

What is it, iGO8 or Primo?

Mon Jan 16, 2012 10:32 pm

my device runs primo 1.1 directly from the SD card; sometimes when i'm in an area with lots of speedcams [especially average speed one's] the unit crashes, i remember reading somewhere that adding something to systxt [similar/as stated in post 3 by fbf] will help.
is it something that is worth trying out? & how do i know weather to add storage card or sdmmc?

It's probably my Primo 1.1 program. I have no problems with speedcams or crashing. Most crashes occur because too much content is installed. How large an area is your speedcam.txt?

EDIT: You really should have started a new thread to avoid confusion.

In the IGO\license folder it says Navon_primo

Look in your sys.txt. There might be something there about which program. Also, can you post a screenshot of your SD card?
