bluetooth advice please

Postby pete1 » Tue Apr 05, 2011 3:58 pm

i have a chinese gps system with win6ce installed, i have a working igo primo, all works fine until i try to connect it to a parrot device, all the mobile phones link straight to it so all are hands free, but when i connect the gps to parrot it finds it and states that it is connected but does not give directions through the stereo system (the mobiles do) is it possible to add some txt in igo to switch the bluetooth on, when i boot up the gps the bluetooth button is on the first screen including music books etc, i have tried by connecting bluetooth gps to parrot and that is found but then i have to switch over to igo which switches the gps bluetooth off and igo gps on, can you advise how i may be able to get this gps to come through the car speakers please

Did this work for the device's original software? As the bluetooth service on the device may only be "audio in" and not "audio out"

Have you tried connecting a phone to the device and use it as a headset? Bluetooth audio out is unusual.

You have the FM Transmitter (built-in Igo) enabled in sys.txt.
Does this work?
I don't know if this would interfere with whatever you are trying to accomplish with BlueTooth....but it might.

32GB SD card? You could put 100 navs on it plus maps of the whole Milky Way!

Just joking with you Pete. I hope you didn't take any offense. Let's see what Fatboyfun can find out first.

I've looked at some of the products on the YF webpage and it appears that their GPS devices only act as a Bluetooth handsfree, which is the same as your Parrot car kit, so unless anyone knows different i'd say it's not possible without adding the required services+software which won't be easy if at all possible.
