Can't get iGo primo 9.2 Feb 2011 North America

Postby Fatboyfun » Thu Jan 05, 2012 7:12 pm

Temporarily rename the current NAVIGATION.exe to something else, (NAVIGATION2.exe maybe?) then rename MobileNavigator.exe to NAVIGATION.exe and MobileNavigator.mscr to NAVIGATION.mscr

Copy NAVIGATION.exe/.mscr and Mortscript into this directory

Start the GPS app how you would normally, Nothing will happen!

Remove NAVIGATION.exe, NAVIGATION.mscr and Mortscript.exe

Restore the original NAVIGATION.exe

Try Primo again...

NOTE: This tool sets the system memory division to maximize the available RAM, It is a user adjustable setting, ie safe.

I've looked at the sys.txt (finally!) and this section...

[debug]
skip_eula=1
enable_roadshadow=1
loop_sim=1
sound_q_length=200
reserve_memory=1835008
cache=262144

...is low

1835008 /8 /8 = 28672 (28.6MB)

Try commenting out the two lines...

[debug]
skip_eula=1
enable_roadshadow=1
loop_sim=1
sound_q_length=200
;reserve_memory=1835008
;cache=262144

Primo runs on all my 64MB devices without them.

I did all this with no luck, copied all primo file to another folder and copied mobilenavigator.exe/.msc, Mortscript.exe, and SetSystemMemoryDivisionKB.exe to SD card renamed mobilenavigator.exe/ .msc to NAVIGATION.exe /.msc and pressed the navitaion button on my navigation system. Nothing happned on screen, then copied back all the primo files to SD card and started navigation in 800x480 mode, it crashed after 1 min with out of memory error.

Did you read the instructions about renaming the two files?

Add to your sys.txt. Delete the save folder, completely shutdown your device, wait a few seconds and re-start.

EDIT: I just had a look at your device's link. Your resolution is kinda different than the normal we see - 1200_234. I'm not sure if it is available. That's your problem. You can try something like this with the other sys.txt entry but I really don't know.

[rawdisplay]
highres=1
screen_x=1200
screen_y=234
;screen_x=800
;screen_y=480
If it ain't broke don't fix it!
ALWAYS BACK-UP YOUR FILES/FOLDERS BEFORE MAKING EDITING CHANGES!

Please do NOT post any thanks. Simply press the hand icon with the "thumb up" which is the thank you button.
