clarifications please....

i just got one of the GPS's ive bought from ebay and uhm,

ok so, can someone confirm me this,,,

a) .DEM files are?
b) .3DC files are?
c) .3DL files are?

Those are content files and can cause error messages if you add to them.

.dem files are your terrain files
3DC are your building files
3DL are more terrain and building files

Each of those files/folders are just "eye candy" and aren't necessary for nav program to work and not every locale has those elements. Only major areas.

Remember though - If it ain't broke don't fix it.

eskro no problem for that kind of files, you can use all them without any problems in your device, cause you have very good device, cpu - 600 mhz + 128 mb ram, it's great device, you can run all what you want, i use all them, 3dc, 3dl, + dem, no problems

.3dc - 3D Building
.3dl - 3D Landmark

you'll see his power , you can run movie with HD quality without blocking


p.s.
all what you reiceved with you device, you can leave on it, cause that devices are much tested, and that installation is ok, you can just change igo8.3.exe to put last stable version for igo8.3, version like igo8.3 - november, that's all... Probably you want to make more free space on internal memory, but better buy some micro-sd with 4gb or 8,16 gb capacity..

well i want to replace TA maps for NT ones thats for sure...
