Clarion EZD580

Mon Feb 16, 2015 11:23 pm

Hello all, sorry if this is not posted in the right place, if it is not in the right place please let me know and i will re-post in the correct place.

I have a Clarion EZD580, the maps that are on it are out dated and Clarion does not have any newer maps, my question is, are there another map files from other units i.e Garmin, TomTom....that will work on this unit? The map files have a .fbl extension.

Thanks for any help.

nco

1. this IS the wrong place, but a moderator can move the post.
2. the extension .fbl points to IGO or Primo software. So look in the map section (where you wrongly posted) for newer maps. However, chances are and it's even very likely that your software is original in which case you can only use maps from this or other forums when you renew the software as well.

I have clarion ezd580 and I loaded igo8 on my unit. I copied the igo files into the clarion subfolder. I rename igo8.exe to clarion.exe. I then entered in the igo8 sys.txt
[gps]
Baud="4800"
Port="2"

Remember made a copy clarion folder in case something does wrong. This way you can away recover.

Hope this helps.
