Custom POI question

Custom POI question

Postby bluem9 » Tue Sep 10, 2013 3:45 pm

I use iGo version 9.2.1.1. I downloaded KML files from POIPlaza. Created a new directory called "userdata/poi" folder under "content" directory. I copied downloaded KMLs to "poi" folder. created "usericon" folder in "userdata" folder and copied corresponding icons (BMPs). I also modified KML file to refer corresponding icon; I added "<metadata><igoicon><filename>JITB.bmp</filename></igoicon></metadata>". I do see that iGo is creating some other files in "poi" folder but I am not seeing the icon (when I am near to my POI) on the screen while I am driving. Not even regular blue bubble. What am I missing? Thank you for your help.

Primo?

In map settings there is an option to show/hide poi's, without having a device to hand to check, I think it's called "Place markers"

Awesome. Thank you Fatboyfun. Yes it is Primo and you are right, I selected them through "Place markers" section. I am yet to drive to see whether they show up when I reach the POI. I believe they will. Thanks again.

After selecting my custom POIs in "Place markers" section; I am able to see the icon when I am at my POI.

Thank you.
