Danish TTS

Danish TTS files:

Just downloaded and installed the files hoping they would be better than some found at another site - but they were almost identical / had more or less the same errors.

Do You know other/better sources?
What tools are needed to try to fix it?

Examples of errors/problems:
first way to the right (første vej til højre) - the 2 words with danish characters are misspoken
3rd way to ... - is spoken "threee" "r" "d"

1) No.
2) IF the errors are within the dictionary.voice file within the {voice}.zip, any errors (or anything else you may wish to customize) can be edited by following the procedures here:
Complete-Nuance-Primo-1.2-and-2.0-TTS-Pro-dictionary.voice-file
All you need is a copy of WinRar and Windows Notepad (or any other plain text editor).
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

what character set is used? (all danish characters seems to be corrupted)
if a word or sentence is not in the dictionary - ie 3rd or right/left - then what to do?

No idea. Notepad does not really use a character set as a Word Processor might, but uses whatever is installed as the Keyboard. Other editors such as Notepad+, Notepad2, etc will let you change the specific Encoding to various languages, but other than that, I don't know. It's possible that the dictionary.voice file was previously edited by others (I don't do anything but the English files) with different computer setups so that characters are all corrupted. In that case, unfortunately, it may be best to start over with the full file on that page/link and translate it line by line.

Also check the info.ini file within the {voice}.zip. If it's not there, then the error could either be in the Language file (not the voice file), or worse within the LUA files in the Config folder of the {voice}.zip...and these are a bit more difficult to edit without corrupting the entire voice file.

PS. Seeing as this thread is a Request Thread ("Where can I find......") any other "How do I...." type questions should be posted in a new thread here:
