When you say "Cannot get detour to work", what do you mean specifically?

And did you update to iGO 8, or update from iGO 8 to primo?

thank you for your speedy reply, sorry I will try to be more specific. I have updated igo 8 primo using 2012 maps and poi I have changed the sys settings to this, when I go onto traffic settings I see smart routes/traffic receiver but detour is showing but in grey and cannot tick, I hope this helps

I see that you're using an iGO8 sys.txt with your Primo program. Shouldn't be much of a problem though. However, you're missing some stuff in the program. Try incorporating these entries in the sys.txt and see where it goes:

[debug]
skip_eula=1
experimental_features=1

[interface]
show_exit=1
extra_settings=1

[other]
demo_enabled=0

[route]
hnr_ignored_missing_country_ids=*

[vr]
disabled=0

[dynamiccompressor]
compressor=1
a0=56806
thrs=24703
ratio=8
gain=10

[folders]
has_secondary_root=0

thank you for your advice, I have added this to the text but still no detour. is the sys text wrong in some way? the reason I ask last year I had the whole thing working including detour but the memory was so low it crashed half way on my journey this is why I also changed the sys text hoping all would work without using all the memory, when I started the satnav now after pressing a few buttons it showed low memory again

iGO 8 and iGO Primo are two different (but related) programmes, which one is it?

Also is this an upgraded programme and maps, or just maps?

Also if you have TMC, is it actually working? It may be greyed out for that reason.

@pete1

If your device crashed using iGO8, I would strongly recommend that you don't upgrade to Primo!! Your device might have crashed when using iGO8 because you had too much content trying to load when the program was being started. You don't require dems or buildings to use the navigation program. Limit the map[s] to your own geographical area, reduce the speedcam area as well.

Please answer FBF's post as to what program you are actually using and to what programs [history] you have actually used. Also, what is the name of your device and its specifications? You also might have to delete your save folder.

sorry it has taken so long to reply, checked out car for the run out. I am traveling from the north east England to spain via the channel tunnel, once I get over the water I will be following another car so this will be used for the uk only. it is a yf wince6 with 128mb memory, I have used primo 8 for a few years with this satnav but the last igo was for truck as I am pulling a caravan but a way down the road the satnav locked up stating that the truck software was not working so I changed it to car and it worked for a while but every so often it would run out of memory so I would take out the save and all would be well. I still have the old truck igo but when I tried to use it with new maps it did not work kept running out of memory or said truck maps were wrong

It's either iGO8 or Primo. It's not Primo8. Let's do it this way. Link us to the download[s] you made.

Go to the exact thread where you got the original programs. Highlight [mark] the address from the address bar and copy/paste the link in your post here.

I sent you a PM. Also, you should never take bits and pieces from different programs to make one big program since there will usually be a conflict and nothing will work.
