directory and filename structure

Postby vassock » Sun Oct 24, 2021 3:25 am

Got some updates for mine. Replaced the map/building/etc... files with the newest I could get - Q22020 for most; Q42020 where I could find it. I deleted whatever ones I replaced, but the files that came had different filenames. For example, the one that replaced New York was named New_York whereas the old file was named New_York_2016 (which I deleted). It seems to work, but how does the program know what file to load up? Doesn't it look for a specific filename?

Also, in the program, how do I check what version of the map the program is loading up?

Igo recognises files by their extension and the encoded metadata, not the file name. If 2 similar files exist it automatically picks the newest one.
