i've looked around & i cannot find a way to enter GPS coordinates into 1.2, so made my original post ~ chas [in post 2] has suggested a way to work round it ~ but i also cannot understand why in primo u can't do it. You can in other versions of primo/amigo/igo8.xx etc so i believe 1 day someone will discover how to do it or we will have to await a version upgrade to primo 1.2.

From the navigation menu click on "find"; then instead of hitting one of the the 4 boxes at the top [find address/find place/find on map/favourites]; click on the "more" button at the bottom; & then click on "coordinates" & enter the gps coordinates you wish ~ you then have the coordinates as the place you are looking for.
[note: you can chge the way you input gps coordinates to the format you prefer by making changes in the settings menu.]
