"EXIT" Button in Primo

"EXIT" Button in Primo

Postby pitcritter » Wed Jul 28, 2010 2:34 am

Is there an "Exit" button in Primo that I'm missing? I've looked through every menu I can find, but I can't find it.
I know that in iGo there is a sys.txt item under [INTERFACE] that reads "show_exit=1"

I believe that's pretty much what I need in Primo.

I tried adding it, but I still can't find an Exit button.

Can anyone help?

When Primo launches, it should be on the bottom left of your screen. Once you press on the small map on the left of the screen you will not see the exit button. If you press MENU and the map reduces in size, the exit button will be visible

Th bottom left of my screen right after boot is "Menu". When I press "Menu", the bottom left is "Close", but that just closes the menu.

Your explanation makes it sound like I might be missing the edges of my screen. I wonder if I have a resolution issue, but I don't think so.

After you press the menu button on the mainmap screen you should see this:

Then press the red power button in the lower left and it will open a window with buttons for Exit, Cancel, and Minimize if you have it enabled.

VFR,thanks for the info. The picture makes it clear what I should be seeing. Unfortunately, when I hit menu, all I get is a bar along the bottom with 4 options: close, find, route and more. If I knew how to get a screenshot I'd post it. I wonder if we're using different versions?

Make a long click on the Button "Menue" in the Mapscreen and than you are in the Menue (I hope) with the "Power" Button.

I'm using the same version of Primo, but with the Gurjon skin. I think the power button was there before installing the skin, but you may want to install it anyway and see what happens. It unlocks some other useful features as well.

With the Gurgon skin you can configure the Menu button long click to exit Primo directly, exit with dialog, minimize, or suspend. This should give you a way to exit the program if the other way is not working. I just tested it on my device and it works.

Thanks VFR, I'll try the Gurjon skin and let you know.

Perfect!!!

The long 'Menu" click works perfectly. The skin looks great too. I think I'd like to see it on a bigger screen though. on a 4.3" it looks a little busy, but I iike the variety of info available...especially the compass.

Thanks again VFR.

If it looks too cluttered with the Gurjon skin you can turn off any of the options you don't want and make it look the same as before. I use it just to unlock a few extra features like the current speed displayed on the menu button of the map screen.
