follow-up to boot into primo

Postby ak47clown » Sun Apr 17, 2011 4:54 pm

Ok i know i'm probably beating a dead horse as I'm apparently the only one who felt that this was something worthwhile but I did end up modifying my c320 so that it does run Primo when i click on the miomap button from the main screen. I simply modified the miomap.scp file to run primo rather than the systeminformation.exe (which was the main screen for Chas's unlock). Again, this is simply the way i wanted to use my device and may not be useful to others but I felt i might as well throw it out there in case someone else was looking to do something like this. I'd also like to point out that this wouldn't be possible without the work Chas did on his unlock as I'm still using elements of it like the mio startup script as well as calling the primo app. Thanks again.

I'm sure there are other users who will find your information useful, But on some devices like the Mio Moov, changing the startup sequence (even of an unlock script) can render the device useless, That's why we said not to change anything if it works. You did the right thing by asking first. :)

Well either way, after replacing the battery and some help from this forum, my C320 is better than ever and i'm no longer considering ditching it for a new device! At least for now... :)

Absolutely not! The Mio C320 is a great device and plays nicely with almost everything. Mine is working 110%.
