Are you able to explain why it doesn't work?

A Mio p550 is a Pda, Win CE5, 320*240/240*320 and 64 Mb Ram.
First thing to look for is the resolution. Does your Primo 2.4 support the pda's resolution? And if, probably only 320*240 and not 240*320, so is your Mio set to landscape?
Second, what is the available memory for running Primo?
Third, would you not better consider to run Primo 2.0, which is stable (unlike 2.4) and even better, iGO 8.3 for low memory devices or Fatboyfuns Primo 1.1 for 64MB devices?

To get primo working on a windows mobile pda required the user to be specific with the resolution entries in the sys.txt, I'll dig out the version I used for my old Omnia 2...

EDIT: This is what I used for primo...

[SPOILER=sys.txt][gps]
port=2
baud=4800

[interface]
resolution_dir="800_480"
extra_settings=1
vga=0

[navigation]
sim_speed_factor=3.0

[power]
backlight_sync_with_OS=1

[rawdisplay]
driver=GLES
screen_x=800
screen_y=480
class="landscape"

[route.histspeed]
enabled=1
show=1
use_timeslice=1

[sound]
ding=0
queue_length=200
mute_os_key=1
pause_mp3_sooner=1
csv_voice_enabled=1[/spoiler]

Please note the resolution entries, this was the only combination that would allow primo to start, anything else crashed on start up.
