It would help to know more about what program you are using:iGO or Primo? What build? Any skin? What map set? Teleatlas? Navteq? How old are the maps? Europe? USA? ....

You should not have to go to intersecting street at all. After you put in the street name, you should go to the house number. BTW, what program are we talking about?

It may be in your area. I don't get that problem here in the US. When I put in the house number it directs me to THAT house. What happens if you try it using the default skin? Did the same problem always happen with other nav programs?

Since it is in your area, not where Chas or myself live, it could very well be a map issue. An other release could solve it.
A matter for somniantis to bump in. I will send him PM.

OK, stay here. It won't be long. Sets mean really nothing. Don't concern yourself with that word.

Then chances are, for the area you are in, the map data is not 100% detailed and accurate.
It happens in some areas that specific address numbers are just not in the map data. For instance, I sometimes find that for specific streets, certain numbers that I KNOW exist, are not able to be chosen--like an address "401", and the choices only go up to "350". Either the address did not exist when the map data was compiled, or the data is just vague. Nothing much you can do about that except to pick something that is 'close', and then feel your way manually down that street, or hope that the next map update has more specific data in it. Some areas may never be 100% for various reasons.
But that's just my opinion..I could be wrong.

the thing is; that even the old areas which was built in the late 80's have
the same problem, its not a matter of missing data; because when i reach to
the address i see that the street & intersect street & house number are showing
on the map: the only problem is that i can't search for it in Find via Address!
