help me mio c520 miomap v3.3

hi
how do I install another gps with the map of Europe
in mio c520 miomap v3.3 with sd card 14 gb, i installed
Mio Pocket 4.0 Release 68.

Delete MioPocket immediately. It makes changes to the device's registry which can cause later problems. It is a good unlock, but still..... DO NOT JUST DELETE THE MP FOLDERS BUT DELETE IT THROUGH THE PROGRAM ITSELF OR THE REGISTRY CHANGES WILL NOT BE REMOVED! Then read this post and install this unlock in its place.

Mio 3.3 unlock modified for use w/ Primo2
Delete everything from your internal disk on the C device. Do the download of the unlock and just copy all the files/folders in the download [just as they are] to the internal disk. Copy the program to your SD card. Add contents [maps and such].

To use the unlock, press the Miomap button when the device starts and it will switch to the unlock.

I've been told that this unlock works with MOOV and Spirits. BUT I've never tried it [I have a MIO C320] so proceed at your own risk. Please post your results.

Why the hatred for MioPocket? I've used it in the past and it was great front-end. Obviously a lot of others use it as well - which is why it's so popular.

What problems can it cause later on? Kinda curious why you are so against using it.

I don't hate MP at all! Like I said, it's a good unlock. BUT because it makes registry changes many problems can possibly occur. Just ask the many members who PMed me and/or posted when they tried to uninstall it and couldn't use their devices again. Plus MP is very over-bloated with unnecessary apps. If anything, MP Mini would be better served. My unlock which I created with Xtyler92 does not do that.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess... What is "over-bloated" to one person is perfect for others (and very flexible).. If used properly, MioPocket is perfectly safe. As with any application, user error can cause problems. But that doesn't mean that people should "Delete MioPocket immediately"! :-)

Are you sure you read and followed my post #2 in its entirety? I know it works - and so do thousands of others - because I have a Mio with 3.3 and it works perfectly. What did you do? Please be specific.

Maps are in the igo maps section here. You want the Tomtom maps for igo [not TT section] and they go into the program's content\map folder.

"Q" - the q means from the particular quarter of the year of the map. Hence, Q1 means from the first quarter, Q2 mean the second quarter --- and so forth. Sounds like you downloaded the correct maps. Try putting only the .fbl files into content\map.
