HELP!!! Nav Update for my Haulingan Head unit in my M3

Postby stevecol56 » Wed Jul 31, 2013 8:04 pm

Hi guys,

stumbled across this great forum whilst pulling my hair out trying to update my maps on my Replacement Head Unit in my BMW E46 M3. The head unit is a Chinese import from Haulingan and it is currently using IGO9, but everytime I go into Nav it says my maps are out of date and I should update at Naviextras.com. However my unit is not listed in the supported devices. Not even sure if it is a genuine copy the manufactures are using.

Soooo That is my Dilemma.

My Questions are I have a download of IGO Primo 2 available from this site, so what is the difference between IGO9 and IGO primo 2? will my IGO9 Maps work with the Primo2 software? what is the best to use?

In Fact Guys Any help or answers would be of use at the moment. I am a complete newbie, not only on this site, but to the world of Car Navigation.

Thank you in anticipation
Steve

Welcome to Navitotal :D

iGO 9 is iGO Primo.

See here for a overview of the different versions available.

The fact it is a Chinese device suggests the iGO software is not entirely genuine.

So that means you should be able to replace the maps.

Look in the iGO map section and download what you need...

Thispost explains what each file is, what it does and where it goes.

If you want to upgrade the software as well, make sure the new version has the folder\file.exe matched with the old version, so the executable path is the same
Currently sleeping...
