The unlock I posted above in #4 is for most of the navs you might encounter. There is even the ability to go to Windows Explorer. Insofar as the maps you need, obviously it depends upon the area you require. You can use the current R3 maps [iGO 8.3] with Primo. Look in the maps section here.

First, when you say backup your 710, what are you trying to backup? Also, in an above post [#8], I showed you screenshots of my SD card and internal flash so you could duplicate my efforts. The unlock download has all the files/folders like what I showed you. Simply copy them. Don't forget that you also have to rename MioMap.

Don't be sorry, just send me money - LOL. Seriously, when I backed up my device, I made two different folders. One for the internal flash and one for the SD card itself and then copied and pasted from my device to those folders.

When you connect your device to the computer via USB, you should see your device listed in "My Computer." It will either be by name or it might say the drive letter.

Once you have your device listed simply rename the MioMap folder to Mio3 [I think that's the name] and then just copy and paste all the other files/folders in the unlock download to where I show you in the screenshots.

I appear to have a computer problem. I can see my C710 in Device Manager but not in IE and not copy files to it. Oddly enough I can see my Garmin 660 and my Canon camera IU.

Have you any idea of what could be wrong?

But do you see the 710 in My Computer at the desktop when you plug in the USB? Remember, it could have just a letter for the drive.

What does My Computer show after you plug in the 710? Wait a minute, you have to turn on the 710 after you plug it in to see it in My Computer.

No. You're showing me Device Manager. I want to see My Computer. Click on start, then my computer and screenshot the results here or write down what you see.

Can't you use Microsoft Active Sync?

On my computer, "My Computer" doesn't look like that. I think it was your F: install or something like that. What is it? BTW, you have a lot of stuff on your computer.590
