You need Mio Transfer Hack. You should have it on your Mio DVD.

I will try it after my backup. If there are some tips that are important before I start. Then write :-)

This is a method to set up igo on c710 without unlocking. So if you replace igo by primo ....
Only problem is a back up for safety reasons, to return to original state

In step 4:
There is no folder "2577"
I can't rename both 'application.dat' and 'iGO8.exe' to miomap.exe or is i missing somthing?

In the comments nabi wrote: "you forgot to mention copying the sys.txt file
to the miomap folder as well as the miomap.exe file"
Is that in the igo8 folder or on the divice?

In step 5:
Remarks
Any one got the data.zip (V10) and branding.zip I want to be sure I have the right files.
If something goes wrong ....

I'm sort of confused by your post. What program are you trying to install - iGO 8.3 or Primo? Did you follow my instructions above and install the unlock first? My uploads for iGO 8.3 and Primo from my device are already ready-made for a Mio so you should be using them.

If it ain't broke don't fix it!

You are not the only one there are confused:-( I just want the easiest solution. So I can use my device with new maps.

I still can not figure out the unlock :-( It's a bit difficult because I can only copy one file at a time for my unit. Is very confused. Is there an unlock which can run from an sd card?
When I get it unlocked. Should I just copy your will onto an SD card and then run it or what?

Yes, there are unlocks for the SD card but they are more difficult to operate and they use more memory. It's much easier and better to use SD-Free. Just keep looking above at the screenshots of my internal and SD card to see how to install it. The first thing would probably be having to rename MioMap to Mio3. Then from the download just copy the individual files to the flash and the SD card just as I have them. Using "Winrar" program, extract my download to your SD card from the first page where only the iGO8 or Primo folder is showing not the page where all the individual files are showing. The content [maps and such] are from my area so you can delete them and replace with the maps you need. Also, delete the "save" folder from my upload.

I have found out that mio'en be unlocked temporarily. By turning it, with the two middle buttons inside while you are doing a soft reset.
So now I try to lie unlock files on an SD card and transfer them with windows explorer into mio'en.

Got it unlocked by that lie all the unlock files on a sd card. Put the card in, start it, keep the two middle buttons and then do a soft reset. So you can get into windows on the device. Then I copied all the files over to your device windows explorer. After I made backup miomap folder.
I deleted the files in contention, as you recommend.
I have put map files into.
Soft reset.
It seems to work beyond the screen image is large or to the screen. So I have changed anything with the solution. How do I do?

In the iGO8 program, go to the sys.txt and change the resolution from resolution_dir="480_272" to "320_240"

In the Primo program, go to the sys.txt and change the following: resolution_dir="480_272" to "320_240" and screen_x=480
screen_y=272 to 320 and 240

EDIT: We'll attack your WinCE 4.2 later for TTS
