Help with starting Primo from SD card instead of residentfla

Postby Smeagol » Sat Mar 09, 2013 5:21 pm

Hi all,

I've bought a new satnav off e-bay:

[Please Register or Login to download file]

WinCE 6.0 and 128MB ram so I can run Primo with all bells and whistles :)

It comes with IGO8 installed, on internal memory, and has a microSD slot. What I was hoping was to install Primo on a micro SD card and run that leaving the original files on the internal memory.

It boots up into it's own launcher interface and there is an app to change the path to the navigation software. Unfortunately the only disc it shows is the residentflash, it can't see the microSD card from this setting. If I quit to Windows the microSD card is visible from there, so the card is being recognised on the device.

My previous devices have all run the navigation software from SD cards (so easy to change to Primo or whatever I want) so I have no experience of playing with WindowsCE or the launcher software to change things beyond the navigation path.

Any pointers to where i can look for enabling Primo to be run from the micro SD card?

Cheers

Look here -> http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?8930-Mortscript-applications-repository&p=44921#post44921

Read the instructions
Download the app
Place the app somewhere on ResidentFlash
Use the shell option on the device to point to RenameMe.exe
On the device, start navigation
Follow the on-screen instructions to point to iGO
Away you go...
Currently sleeping...
