[question] HNR files ???

Postby eskro » Wed Jul 06, 2011 1:44 pm

in my NavteQ 2010.Q4 NA maps,
there's 3 of those HNR files,,,,

-North_America_NT_Easy_2010.Q4_110426.hnr
-North_America_NT_Fast_2010.Q4_110426.hnr
-North_America_NT_Short_2010.Q4_110426.hnr

Smells like House Numbering too me,
correct?

but if so, which of the 3 i need to keep in my MAP folder!?

and, why is there 3 versions?

thanks O.O

HNR files have little or nothing to do with house numbering. They are pre-defined routes for a region using 1) Easy: few turns or complicated maneuvers 2) Fast: the fastest route available between two points, and 3) Short: exactly that--the least distance between two points (which may not be the fastest). There is a 4th--Economical: Using the least fuel.
If you want to use HNR files, you should have all of them present in your map folder with the appropriate maps. A note about that: ALL maps files for the region must be present--not just 'some'. Otherwise, you can delete the HNR files and suffer no harm.
