I'm just wondering how one would go about converting TOMTOM maps to run with iGO 8.3.5.
Now, 2013.q1 USA Navteq maps are working fine in iGo 8.. However, if I'd like to move back to Primo 2.0 or 2.4, I'd like to have new maps that work as well.
So, the question is... How would one go about getting the newest TOMTOM maps for USA, and then convert them to work with iGO?

You can't convert TomTom maps for TomTom devices to iGO.
However TomTom maps for iGO exist.
Confused?
Look in the iGO maps section for TomTom or Teleatlas maps.

TomTom application's maps does not work with Igo.
Take a look at the maps section of Igo, you will find there maps that works with Igo. It can be from several providers, like HERE, TomTom (Teleatlas) and some other local providers.

This is what you can do.
Download one of the primos from the program section. Then, in the iGo maps section you will see the tomtom maps there. Most updated one i think. Place them in the right folder and you should be good to go.
I tried it and had no problems, but i prefer the iGo maps instead of TT.
Let me know if this helped you.

There are no "iGo maps". IGo works with several map providers, like HERE (Navteq), TomTom (Teleatlas) ans some more local providers for east Europe and more.
