I believe your device is a 2DIN. Read this http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?909-Double-din-2Din-GPS-How-to-install-thread Remember, the program they are going to sell you is a "real" program not a cracked one. The license is different so you won't be able to use the current maps here.

Actually probably not legit/licensed ...

For $15 or so they will sell you a pair of iGO8 DVDs with all maps available globally which are cracked, advising you it is a trial version and you should buy a licensed copy locally at some point in the future.

I seriously doubt a dealer selling licensed/legit iGO products would also offer DVD-R copies for a fraction of the price ...

You're going to have to give us more information than that. Device name? Program? Where did you get it? ETC.

When you start your car? This means the GPS is on and then you start your car? Or what?
Can you be more specific? What device? What program? On sd? in memory?

You had it working and then it stopped?
Try deleting the save folder, This will only delete the settings.

It is a mercedez OEM DVD GPS navigator device...program - iGO8..it is on SD card...
what i meant was the system all the while was working pretty fine everytime i press the NAVI button but couple of days it doesn't work as usual. whether it is due to the corrupted software or faulty device?

TQ

Do like Fatboyfun suggests and delete the "save" folder. Don't worry a new one will be created the next time you start iGO.

Did you restart your device after deleting the save folder?
